Style 'N Wrap Review

I am so happy to share this product with you! After weeks of searching I have finally found the solution for my styling tools. Since I do not like to leave my curling iron on the counter top waiting to cool down, this really is the perfect solution.

The Style ‘n Wrap created by Rhonda at Geneva Girl Designs is a practical solution for using, storing, and stowing hot styling tools. Unlike other products on the market, this product will hold not only the heated end of a styling tool, but the handle and cord as well.

The hook and loop tape used to secure the end flaps will hold the products safely inside when care is taken to make sure the velcro has been fastened properly. The upper end of the Style 'n Wrap has two separate hanging features: the upper end flap is slightly longer allowing it to be looped over a towel bar, the second feature that was added is a loop which allows it to be hung from a hook.

Rhonda also embedded a scent into the Style 'n Wrap, so that when heat is applied to the silver heat-resistant surface it emits a pleasant fresh linen scent. Since she wanted to create a multi-functional product, the pad protects counter tops while styling tools are in use, and also can be used as an ironing pad to touch up clothing.

The pad can be shaped into a pocket and inserted into a dry sink, when counter space is limited (like in recreational vehicles, houseboats, and some college dorm rooms). The spacious outer pockets allow you to store combs, brushes, picks, clips, and travel sized hairsprays or gels making it easy to keep everything organized and handy.

Geneva Girl Design products are manufactured here in the United States. The Nylon fabric that I am using is water repellant, stain resistant, and light weight. Check it out yourself here! I am sure that you will be as thrilled as I am!

The Sha-Poopie

As all of you know I love Riley. But as much as I love him, it's a pain to pickup after him on his daily walks. Recently, I came across the Sha-Poopie created by Dan Shalhoub. 5 years ago Dan and his wife Karen adopted a West Highland Terrier named Pippin. Dan had a bad back and hated the fact that he had to use a plastic bag to pickup after Pippin every time they went on their walks (if you live in a city or a place without a backyard I am sure you can empathazie). So Dan searched for an easier solution to his plastic bag but couldn't find anything that was up for the task. So he invented the Sha-Poopie!

The Sha-Poopie is a light-weight aluminum telescoping handle with a specially designed cup designed to take the bother out of picking up after your dog. When your dog is about to "do his business", simply pull out the telescoping handle and position it under the dog, and "catch it in the act", then push the handle on the ground to retract and then snap the lid on the liner and dispose. You can check out the Sha-Poopie on the Bonnie Hunt show here!

Yesterday, Riley and I tried the Sha-Poopie. I let him sniff it before using and when he wasn't looking I discretely placed underneath him and it worked like a charm! This is the perfect solution for all city dogs! So if you have a pup, definetely check out Sha-Poopie. Happy Monday!

Dr. Hauschka First Aid Kit Review

Another great weekend! The hubby and I had date night on Friday and went to see the movie Couples Retreat. The comedy follows four Midwestern couples who embark on a journey to a tropical island resort. While one of the couples is there to work on their marriage, the other three set out to enjoy some fun in the sun. Pretty soon the other couples realize that participation in the resort's couples therapy program is not optional! The movie had mixed reviews but overall I thought it was a light and had something for every couple to identify with.

Also, over the weekend I was able to test out my Dr. Hauschka first aid kit. Unfortunately, I had whacked my shin while doing some household duties. I tried my Mercurialis Wound Rescue and AMAZINGLY it seemed as if the cut healed overnight. I was relieved that it worked so well. There is absolutely nothing worse than a minor distraction getting in the way of your daily life.

You can view the first aid set at Dr. Hauschka. The kit includes Mercuialis Wound Rescue, Ouch!Aid Arnica Compress, Calendula Wound Cleanser & Arnica Bump and Bruise Relief. The great thing about the kit is that the components when sold separately add up to an $88 value, but are sold for nearly half that price ($44.95) when purchased as a set. Here's a direct link to the First Aid Set on the website: Dr. Hauschka First Aid Kit

J.R. Watkins Review

I was finally able to catch up on some household chores this evening and I was thrilled to test out my Aloe & Green Tea Wipes and All Purpose Cleanser products from J.R. Watkins. Being a dog owner I am always on the lookout for natural products. I was amazed at how well the cleansers worked and when the hubby came home he walked in the door and said “What’s that smell?” in a good way!

I was also happy to test out the lemon liquid hand soap. The hand soap is amazing. I carry lotion on me all the time because my hands become extremely dry after using any type of soap. I was amazed that I did not need to use lotion after washing my hands with with the Watkins hand soap.

If you are not familiar with the Watkins line, they have been America’s pioneer in natural living since 1868. As America’s original natural apothecary manufacturer, Watkins uses only the finest natural ingredients in its diverse lines of personal care, home care, remedies and organic flavorings.

I am so impressed with Watkins, that I am going to be buying all of my cleaning supplies from them. Check out their website J.R. Watkins for locations on where to buy!

LeSportsac Review

What a weekend! This Friday my hubby and I took my mother-in-law (who lives in New England) to see one of her favorite bands Journey! We really weren’t sure what to expect since Steve Perry is no longer the lead singer of the band but let me tell you Arnel Pineda did an amazing job filling his big shoes. Night Ranger was the opening band and it was truly a rockin evening with beautiful music, perfect weather and a picturesque view! Even though we scheduled a packed weekend for my mother-in-law it was totally worth it to see her beautiful smile that evening! After the concert, we then drove to Los Angeles to see my sister-n-law and family. I couldn’t have been happier to test out my new LeSportsac travel tote that was generously given to me as a sample. I had many things to pack (5 days worth of clothes to be exact and extra goodies for my family). I was amazed at how well everything fit. I even had extra room for any purchases that I would make at the cutesy vintage shops that my sister-n-law and I love so much. So overall, LeSportsac gets an A+ in my book. They truly carry products that fit any lifestyle. Their products are durable, efficient, and have cool design options. I have received so many compliments on my bag already. To be quite honest, I can’t imagine life before it. I have already put it to good use and packed up my things for this weekend’s trip to Palm Springs (I am an early planner)!!
